Rosalia Vila Tobella[2] (born 25 September 1992),[3] known mononymously as Rosalia (Spanish: [rosa'li.a], Catalan: [ruz@'li.@]),[4][5][6] is a Spanish singer. [7][8] She was raised in Barcelona and has been dubbed an "atypical pop star" due to her various musical styles. When she was enthralled by Spanish folk music when she was 13, she studied musicology at Catalonia College of Music while also performing in musical bars and weddings.She was able to complete her studies with honors by virtue of her collaborative cover album together with Raul Refree, Los Angeles (2017), and the baccalaureate project El Mal Querer (2018). The album combines flamenco with hip-hop and pop music The album was followed by "Malamente" (single) as well as "Pienso in tu mira (single). Both songs sold out and garnered a lot of critical praise. El Mal Querer was the first to introduce Rosalia into the international music stage. Rosalia's albums of 2019 "Con Altura" (13) and "Yo x Ti Tu x Mi" (12-13) were pioneers in urban music and achieved international success. She gave reggaeton an innovative style on her third studio album Motomami (2022) which departed from the brand new flamenco sound of the album that preceded it. It featured two singles "La Fama,"" and "Saoko" and "Saoko," the album received a worldwide acclaim and was named the top-rated album of the year by Metacritic. Throughout her career, Rosalia has accumulated ten #1 singles from her home country, which is the highest for an artist from the country. Two Grammy Awards, eleven Latin Grammy Awards (including two Album of the Year wins) and four MTV Video Music Awards and three UK Music Video Awards have been awarded to Rosalia. She also received two Premio Ruido Awards. In the year 2019 Billboard gave her the Rising Star Award for "changing the current sound of mainstream music with her innovative flamenco-influenced pop",[18and she was the first singer from Spain ever to be nominated for the Best New Artist award at the Grammy Awards. Grammys Rosalia was born on 25 September 1992 in Sant Cugat del Valles and raised in Sant Esteve Sesrovires,[20][21][22] Baix Llobregat, Catalonia. The family she was born into has no artistic heritage She is the youngest daughter of Pilar Tobella, a businesswoman who has a family-owned business focused on metalwork. Jose Manuel Vila was her father. He was born in Cudillero (Asturias). They separated in the year 2019. (23). She has an older sister, Pilar "Pili" Vila (born 1989) who collaborates with Rosalia as her stylist and creative director. Rosalia showed an interest in performing arts from an early age, especially after discovering the discography of Camaron de la Isla. At the Taller de Musics, she started her musical training. She completed an eight-year program in the academy. She took classes at the Raval School, then moved to the Superior School of Music of Catalonia.
